I got a package in the mail yesterday. It was from Amazon. Now, if I stop talking right there, most people know what I mean because that’s a “norm” of today’s society.
It got me to thinking about when I was a kid. We didn’t have computers in school, or cell phones. [GASP!]
(We also learned cursive writing, but that’s a story for another day.)
Back then, I wouldn’t have been able to comprehend the whole Amazon concept: looking at an inanimate object (computer monitor), viewing a “store” in another state or country, giving them direct access to my money to make a purchase, and then having that object arrive in my mailbox a few days later.
It really has changed the face of the world, this Internet that Al Gore invented.

Amazon is my favorite store!! And really, what is up with them not teaching cursive any more!? I just heard that from a friend’s 13 year old!

Me too! That reminds me, I was going to buy something else on the big “A”…
